An outfit for Chrysa in my imagination.
The queen made a pact with Princess Celestia, and in exchange, she save Princess Cadance from the Crystal Empire, when King Sombra returns and defeat Shining Armor.
Chrysalis sacrifice herself as a fake Cadance, and become the captive of King Sombra. When Sombra see her real form, he fell in love with her and want to make her to his queen.
This dress and jewels are his gift.
As the events unfold, Chrysalis face a hard choice: the colt, who love her for herself, and with him an evil path again... or she do, what is right and help Princess Cadance.

Tough choice ahead, poor Chrysalis. Yeah, love hurts. I wonder what she will do (I hope there is a third option for her, so she can do what is right and still be with Sombra). Even though I usually pair Sombra with Luna, the idea of him and Chrysalis is also awesome.

Just by looking at her in this artwork, I somehow feel that she's more than just a love-sucking monster, she could be actually a tragic character with a complex back-story we know nothing about.

I began an instant hater of Chrysalis when I saw the episode, but why should she look so pretty here?

I guess I can hope she was never a bad alicorn in the begining and just lost it like Luna did once.
