"All my life you told me, the world is a dark, cruel place! But now I see the only thing dark and cruel about it is creatures like you!!" (Bray)
Someone once said me, that in my story about Tambelon, Bray's character is like Quasimodo from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame. And... as I listened the songs, over and over again, I always imagined, as Grogar sing the beginning of the "Out there" song to Bray.
Some details, for the understanding of this comic:
As I said some times, Bray is an unicorn in my tale. In the beginning of the story, he is hiding his horn under his big mane. It has a big impact on my story, as he learn the truth about himself.
He don't know it, because Grogar wanted to raise him in fear, so burned every book about unicorns and their magic. And the troggs were also forbidden to say anything.
Bray lives in fear from his inner magic, and thinking, he is not normal, even among ponies. He begin to suspect, that something is not quite true, when he meet with Twilight, who is a princess by the time of these events. And there are the unicorns in the city's dungeon. It is still requires Twilight's kindness and help for Bray to realize, he is not "ugly", not "deformed" and not a "monster".
THIS MAGIC IN MY SKIN!
THIS BURNING, DESIRE!
IS TURNING ME TOOO SIN!
Sorry, I had to
By the way, awesome work.
I get a classic, nostalgic feeling from this piece, considering Hunchback was one of my favorite movies!
