The Reeky Bird

Sombra is sad, because he never had a pet. Even as a foal. So Fluttershy makes her move to find him one. The quest don't take long as Sombra chooses a bird called Reeky, who was never adopted by anypony. The reason quickly becomes clear to the girls: Reeky is a scavenger bird, who eats junk and pests, this makes him smell bad. He is not a bad bird. He is quite, and helpful, but the girls don't see it from the smell. While Sombra didn't seem to notice a thing and grow fond of Reeky, our heroines slowly make their move. Rainbow, Pinky and Rarity takes the warpath to remove the bird, while Fluttershy, Twilight and Applejack try the "changing approach". And Sombra unintentionaly teaches the girls - and himself - a lesson in tolerance.

This is just an episode-idea from me, based on the situation, that Sombra lives in Ponyville.
I started to think, what kind of pet would he choose. He choses Reeky, because he see the same abandonment and loneliness in the bird, what he felt as a kid. I mean: he lived in an orphanage. Surely there were kids, who got adopted by new parents. And I can imagine Sombra standing there as a little foal and no parents taking him, because "he is different". That's why he takes Reeky the first time he sees him and try everything to give the bird a home.
Of course the smell will be dealt with, but our heroes must walk this little road to get there.
