Yesterday I found an old favourite of mine on YouTube! A cartoon from my childhood 
"Simba The King Lion" I don't think everyone knows... this was a big mix of Lion King and Jungle Book with some magic.
BUT!
With a memorable pair of characters, who changed my life!
My very-very-very first fanfics was made about them and they made my fear from snakes, disappear.
The main villain of the 16th episode was HIM. The white cobra, who had no real name, but make me love snakes! Most of his background is foggy, but I think I can write here, what I think.

He is the first son of the King of the Cobras. But he was disgraced by his family for a crime unknown, and banished. He hoped, that Ka, King of all Snakes, can somehow help him, so he made his way to the Jungle. But he was beyond redemption, because even Ka could see, that his heart is dark and evil. He was killed with a trap, when he tried to eat one of the main characters.
He can breath fire! And he is prety good at it. He burned down almost the entire Jungle.
My other favourite was his younger brother. I think, when big brother was exiled, he inherited the throne and became the King of the Cobras. He appears in episode 35, when he learns about his big brother's death and try to take vengeance on Ka. He is not that good in fire-breathing, like his brother.

I did the same thing you did with my fear of balloons. Though I'm not 100% tolerant to balloon popping, I have a better tolerance toward them. (Sweet Giggle, one of my OC helps me a lot.)
